Family's Rebirth

Amid the tragedy of the October 7, 2023, massacre, the Yahalomi family faced the harrowing abduction of Eitan and Ohad, while Bat-Sheva and her daughters narrowly escaped. Now, as they seek to rebuild in Kibbutz HaOgen, they need our support for their hopeful journey towards healing and reunion.

About Yahalomi's Family

Ohad, Bat-Sheva, and their three children, Eitan (12), Yaeli(10), and Liel(2).

Ohad is a farmer, and Bat-sheva is a teacher. Eitan loves to play and prefers to be with family or friends, Yaeli is ten, and little Liel is just under two years old. The Yahalomi family has been a well-known part of the peaceful Kibbutz Nir Oz community for many years.

The day Everything Changed

On October 7th, their lives were upended as dozens of terrorists attacked the Kibbutz, slaughtering anyone in their path, including children, women, and the elderly. They murdered, burned, looted, and destroyed everything, leaving behind ruin and destruction. During this chaos, the entire Yahalomi family was apprehended by Hamas and led to Gaza.

Ohad sustained severe injuries while protecting his family, suffering gunshot wounds to his leg and arm.
In a courageous act of heroism, Bat-Shava managed to escape at the last minute with her two daughters, Yaeli and Liel.
Unfortunately, Ohad and Eitan did not manage to escape and were taken by the terrorists.

Their home and all their belongings were burned and destroyed.

This was their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz

Many have volunteered to renovate the property, including family, friends and Kibbutz members.

AT THIS TIME, WE ARE LOOKING TO RAISE 500,000 NIS (USD 131,200)

The donations will be used for the renovation, as well for initial expenses and therapy for the family members, which would hopefully help them to start restoring their lives.

On behalf of the Yahalomi family, we thank you for your invaluable support in these hard times!
